Statement #28

Student Success Statement
“We become what we
think about.”

Earl Nightingale

Reflection: I believe what he is trying to say is

that we become what we want to be, not what

others want us to be. Our thoughts, our mind, our

decisions make our life. There is no way to not

become what you think about because no one but

yourself makes you think about anything. When

we think, we imagine, when we imagine, we dream, we aspire, we strive, we crave, we yearn, what ever you want to call it, we make our dreams come true no matter the case.

Health Educators provide information on health and health related issues. They can assess health training needs and plan health education programs. CHOOSE THE RIGHT!!!

Would you like to be a Health Educator?

I would not like to be a Health Educator  because I do not like speaking in public.

Statement #27

Student Success Statement
“Good thoughts bear good fruit. Bad
thoughts bear bad fruit.”

James Allen

Reflection: I believe what he is trying to say is  that what you plant, your thoughts, is what you will get back,  there is no way to hange that. Same way with bad thoughts, once you plant them, you get it in return.

Day #28

Genetic Counselor
Duties and Responsibilities:
Genetic Counselors provide information and advice for people that can possibly be at risk of having genetic disorders. A genetic counselor meets with you to discuss the genetic risks that can happen; the counselor can be for you or another family member. The meeting may follow with a genetic testing. There are many reasons to have a genetic counselor meet with some of them are:

·     Already have a child with a birth defect.
·     Have an ultrasound test with a potential problem.
Salary: $60,000- $70,000

Those interested in the field must complete a master's degree program in genetic counseling. Due to the small number of accredited programs, graduate schools often have a highly selective admission process. Students can prepare for admission with undergraduate courses in chemistry, biology, genetics and psychology. Schools may require or strongly recommend paid or volunteer experience prior to enrolling in the professional program.

CHOOSE THE RIGHT!!!

Do you think you would like to be a Genetic Counselor?

This isn't my dream job, but it certainly looks interesting, so yes I would like to be a Genetic Counselor.

Statement #26

Student Success Statement
“I wasn’t trying to leave a legacy.
I was trying to do what
was right.”

Dean Smith

Reflection: I think what Dean Smith is trying to

say is that legacy wasn't a isuue infact he ignored,

not trying to leave one behing him when his time

comes. He was trying to set a example for all his

palyers to follow, one that they would hopefully

follow for the rest of their lives. That was his goal

all along, not showing off, not to feel better than

others. Just to choose the right and nothing more,

beacause someines leaving a legacy might not help

others, though choosing the right might help them

now.
