Plastic Surgeon
Duties and Responsibilities:
Plastic surgeons are medical professionals, specializing in the correction or restoration of form and function of damaged or malformed areas of the body. Plastic surgery includes many types of reconstructive surgery, hand surgery, microsurgery, and the treatment of burns. Plastic surgery, as a specialty, evolved remarkably during the 20th century in the United States, gaining increasing importance during the treatment of World War I soldiers with complex maxillofacial injuries.
Average Salary: $343,848
Educational Requirements:
Most prospective plastic surgeons complete undergraduate degrees prior to attending medical school. Although bachelor's degrees in any major are acceptable, premedical students must complete certain prerequisite courses, including chemistry, biology and physics.

Neurologist
Duties and Responsibilities:
Neurologists are physicians trained in the treatment and diagnosis of brain and central nervous system disorders and diseases. Doctors trained in neurology complete medical school, a one-year internship in internal medicine and a three-year residency in neurology. Neurologists may also work in a subspecialty of the field, such as geriatric or pediatric neurology.
Average Salary: $190,000
Educational Requirements:
An undergraduate degree, especially one with a scientific focus, will prepare a potential neurologist for admission medical school. A pre-med undergraduate will spend about four years at university, depending on the requirements of the individual school and the student's course load.

Western Medicine Doctor
Duties and Responsibilities:
AOM treatments identify a pattern of energetic imbalance within a patient and redress that disharmony through a variety of therapies that may include acupuncture needling, cupping, acupressure, and exercises such as tai ji and qi gong, as well as Chinese herbal preparations.

Educational Requirements:
A minimum requirements include satisfactory completion of at least two (2) academic years (60 semester credits/90 quarter credits) of education at the baccalaureate level that is appropriate preparation for graduate level work, or the equivalent (e.g., certification in a medical profession requiring at least the equivalent training of a registered nurse or a physician’s assistant), from an institution accredited by an agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education. Many AOM colleges exceed this minimum standard and require a Bachelor’s Degree for admission.

Educational Requirements:
Usually the service years are around four years of active duty, sometimes more or less depending upon the level of education and training you received from the military.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Oral Care Professionals clean teeth examine patients for signs of oral diseases such as gingivitis and provide other preventative dental care. They also educate patients on ways to improve and maintain good oral health.

Educational Requirements:
Dental Hygienists need an associate’s degree in dental hygiene. Bachelor’s degrees in dental hygiene are also available, but are less common. A bachelor’s or master’s degree is usually required for research, teaching, or clinical practice in public or school health programs.
