“There is no giant
step that does it. It’s
a lot of little steps.”

Reflection: I believe what they are trying to say is

that there is no shortcut in life, and there is no

around it. We must try our hardest to become the

best we can be

“Right is right, even if everyone
is against it; and wrong is wrong,
even if everyone is for it.”

Reflection: I believe what he is trying to say is that we should choose the right when it is not the most preferable path, but we still should because choosing the wrong can only lead to mare bad things and then you fall in to a rut of choosing the bad. Statement #61

Student Success Statement
Cowardice asks the question ‘Is it safe?’
Expediency asks the question ‘Is it politic?’
Vanity asks the question ‘Is it popular?’
But, conscience asks the question, ‘Is it right?’ And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular, but one must take it because one’s conscience tells one that it is right.
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.

Reflection: I think what he is trying to say is that it doesn't matter what you do is it safe or unpopular.

Statement #58

Student Success Statement
“Right is right only when entire.”

Victor Hugo

Reflection: I believe what he is trying to say is that we should make right when it is right to do so entirely. We should make sure when we do right we put in the full effort not half or almost what was needed. When you do right make sure you put in as much effort as you can otherwise it wasn't entirely right in the first place.
